The Peaks Resort & Spa – Telluride, CO
System Integrator: Rocky Mountain Controls – Westminster, CO
Rocky Mountain Controls installed an ASI Controls climate control system at the Peaks Resort & Spa near Telluride, CO. The system interacts with a MICROS Fidelio hotel management system so that rooms change to Occupied or Unoccupied state when a guest checks in or out. This allows cooling or heating to start conditioning the room before the guest first arrives, and also allows the hotel to scale back the climate control system when a guest checks out of the room with the A/C or heating still running.
Energy Savings was the inspiration for this project. A number of ASIC/2-8040 controllers were installed to coordinate the fan coil system in guest rooms. Room temperatures and facility energy consumption is monitored for wasteful operation. The building operations staff is able to view temperature and other values in real-time.
ASI Controls is a certified interface for MICROS Systems hospitality software.
More about Rocky Mountain Controls
The engineering staff at Rocky Mountain Controls has also deployed a system combining Siemens Apogee and ASI Controls products into a single, unified ASI WebLink front end. This interoperability is made possible by manufacturer support for OPC Data Access, a set of standards for interoperability. Building owners and operators increasingly want to unite and simplify the interface to all control systems, and through support for OPC ASI Controls resellers can deliver interoperable control solutions, with secure 24/7 remote access and control through the Internet, for customers today.
