The 1-6100-MB is a BTL B-ASC certified BACnet Application Specific Controller, primarily for airflow applications. The control board is mounted on a metal base. It combines the field-proven functionality of an ASI pre-programmed terminal unit controller with the interoperability of BACnet® open protocol.
The metal base (MB) version is typically used for retrofit applications where an existing actuator can be re-used, or in spaces where a model with integrated actuator and ABS enclosure does not fit. This device requires a separate damper motor.
The 1-6100-MB controller allows digital control of pressure independent Variable Air Volume (VAV), and Fan-Powered VAV terminal units. A variety of pre-programmed sequences of control for airflow applications is available for selection. In most modes, the controller uses the on-board airflow sensor to maintain space temperature by varying the supply air volume. A pressure-dependent model, without an onboard airflow sensor, is also available. Standard features include Auto Changeover, Lighting Control, Variable User Adjust, After-hours Override, and onboard Trending.
The device offers 6 Universal Inputs, 5 Binary Outputs and 1 floating Analog Output (20 mA at 10Vdc).
Standard BACnet baud rates up to 76,800 bps are supported. Transient Voltage Suppressors and a 100 mA polyswitch fuse provide rugged protection against power spikes.
By default the controller supports BACnet MS/TP protocol, with optional ASI legacy protocol support.
